Miricle 110KS-25 Thermal Imaging Camera

BELLEVIEW, Wash., Feb. 5, 2008 -- The Miricle 110KS-25 miniature thermal imaging camera from Thermoteknix is a sealed and waterproof infrared unit that incorporates a 25-µ lightweight detector with optional supersensitivity modes in a small, light package.

The 110KS-25 is a new member of the Miricle 110K 384 x 288 miniature infrared camera line, adding to the existing 35-µ detector range. Both 35- and 25-µ cameras use 384x288 uncooled microbolometer focal plane array (FPA) detectors and are sensitive in the longwave infrared (7 to 14-µm) band. The 110K-35 and 110K-25 operate without thermoelectric stabilization (TEC-less) and are also available with shutterless Miricle XTi models for uninterrupted, instant-on, high-performance thermal imaging.

ksinhand.jpgWith a smaller sensor pitch, the thermal sensitivity and response time of the new 25-µ Miricle models achieve <60 mK at 27 ºC and 7 mS time-constant performance at 50/60 Hz. The Miricle 110K-25 is available with an optional supersensitivity mode offering up to 10 to 35 mK noise-equivalent delta temperature (NEDT) for applications requiring small temperature difference or long-range detection.

The reduced pixel pitch of the Miricle 110K-25 enables the use of smaller, lightweight optics and allows increased detection range for a given focal length, compared with larger pitch detectors. With a fully assembled weight of 85 g (under 3 oz, without lens), the Miricle 110K-25 is ideal for unmanned aerial vehicles and field-portable applications.
