Holo/Or Ltd. has added elements to its Multi Spot series pattern generators that produce an array of 1 × 5 points with high efficiency. The optics can be manufactured for 266-, 532-, 632.8-, 1064-, 1550-, 2940- and 10,600-nm wavelengths and at custom separation angles. The beams can be transformed to spots by a single focusing lens. The theoretical diffraction efficiency for the five points is close to 80%, with transmission efficiency close to 100%. The optics are 1 in. in diameter and 3 mm thick. The 1064-nm version is made of pure fused silica and, as an option, can include a high-power laser Ar/Ar coating.
