The Pulsar-4 multichannel smart head PC interface has been introduced by Ophir-Spiricon Inc. to accommodate its smart heads. It converts a PC or a laptop into a full-featured laser power/energy meter. With plug-and-play connectivity, the four-channel USB interface functions as the gateway connection between the PC and the laser/power energy meter, eliminating the need for an external display. It records pulse energies at up to 20,000 Hz for all channels simultaneously and has an external trigger that measures missing pulses or specific operator-designated ones. It supports up to four smart heads at once, enabling users to conduct testing simultaneously or sequentially. Proprietary USBI PC software is included with log power and energy, averages, statistics and histogram functions.
