Photon.jpgA laser line tunable bandpass filter unveiled by Photon etc. Inc. is based on volume Bragg grating technology and covers the 350- to 2500-nm spectral range, with available bandwidths from 0.3 to 6 nm FWHM. Peak transmission at the center wavelength is >50%, wavelength relative resolution is 50 pm, and wavelength absolute accuracy is 100 pm. The filter has a 5-mm aperture, measures 10.03 × 7.5 × 8.75 in. and operates over a temperature range from 10 to 40 °C. It transmits a single laser line while blocking unwanted lines and fluorescence and is matched to the company’s tunable Top Notch filter for Raman applications. Proprietary PHySpec control and analysis software controls both filters simultaneously through a single USB 2.0 port.
