Nufern has expanded its line of NuPower active fibers with three polarization-maintaining double-clad types that are complemented by the availability of matched passive fibers for component and pigtail development. The erbium/ytterbium co-doped PM-EYDF-17/200 operates over the C- and L-bands. The ytterbium-doped large-mode-area PLMA-YDF-10/125 and PLMA-YDF-25/400 operate over a nominal wavelength of 1060 to 1155 nm. Applications include eye-safe amplifiers, high peak power pulsed amplifiers and nonlinear optics/frequency doubling.
