For Telecom Market
A fusion splicer from Fujikura Europe Ltd., the FSM-60S, is an upgrade to its best-selling FSM-50S for the European telecommunications market.

fujikara.jpgThe FSM-60S, more rugged, smaller and lighter than its predecessor, offers better protection from dust, water, vibration and shock, Fujikara said. It also has a battery that can be charged during normal operation, accommodates a variety of clamping systems and can incorporate an optional second heater.

"The FSM-50S has been deployed by virtually all major incumbent operators and service providers throughout Europe and has delivered record-breaking sales since its launch," said Roy Higgins, Fujikura general manager. "The FSM-60S offers a technical leap forward over the previous model, delivering improved performance, greater versatility and easier portability."
