CooLED.jpgCoolLED has introduced high-intensity LED array modules (LAMs) at 535, 565 and 585 nm for use with its precisExcite LED excitation system. Active cooling ensures stability and intensity. The availability of LED excitation wavelengths in the green region of the visible spectrum provides the required intensity for exciting fluorophores. Each LAM is a self-contained array of LEDs at a specific excitation wavelength, and each array is mounted on an interchangeable module. PrecisExcite users can remove and replace LAMs depending upon the samples and fluorophores with which they are working. The modular LED light source enables the user to select the excitation wavelength and to precisely control the intensity and the period of excitation.
