Foss-NIRSystems.jpgThe XDS near-infrared Process Analytics microbundle multiplexer has been released by Foss NIRSystems Inc. It performs real-time nondestructive measurements directly in the process line, blender, dryer or reactor in pharmaceutical and chemical applications. Users can measure active pharmaceutical ingredients and moisture content, or can follow the progress of a chemical reaction and determine end points. The 40 illumination and 40 collection fibers enable analysis of clear liquids, suspensions and solids. Two analyzer configurations enable measurement of up to either four or nine sampling points. The system can be configured with a reflectance probe, an immersion probe or a transmission probe pair to accommodate various sample types.
