Directed-Perception.jpgDirected Perception Inc. has unveiled its PTU-D100 computer-controlled pan-tilt units for real-time positioning of medium payloads for fixed and mobile applications in the military and industrial markets. The compact and rugged all-in-one design has flexible mounting options for single or multiple payloads, including video cameras, lasers, antennae and thermal imagers. Side- and top-mount payload capacities are 25 and 15 lb, respectively. Controllable pan and tilt speeds range from <0.0075°/s to 120°/s, with ±0.0075° positioning resolution in both pan and tilt axes. The system provides 360° continuous pan with internal payload wiring. RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces are built in, and an Ethernet option is available.
