L-3 Communications Infrared ProductsRequest Info
L3IRprods.jpgL-3 Communications Infrared Products has unveiled its Thermal-Eye X-150 pocket-size thermal imaging camera, which can detect activity from >305 m in total darkness. Its focal plane array is an amorphous silicon microbolometer with 160 × 120-pixel resolution, spectral response from 7 to 14 μm and thermal sensitivity of ≤100 mK. Field of view of the optics is 17° × 13°, and minimum focus distance is ∼1 m. Operating life is ∼2 h with two AA alkaline batteries and ∼6 h with lithium. Operating temperature is from –20 to 60 °C. The camera can withstand a 2-m drop to concrete and underwater submersion to 3 m.
