Sacher.jpgFor interferometry, lithography, and atom cooling and trapping applications, Sacher Lasertechnik GmbH has announced the Jaguar SYS-1000 SHG (second harmonic generation) laser cavity frequency doubler, which enables access to spectroscopically important wavelengths in the visible and UV regions. It can be used with tunable laser systems with pump powers of <100 mW and can output >500 mW. It comprises a ring cavity in which a periodically poled doubling crystal is positioned. The ring cavity is stabilized on the diode lasers via a Hänsch Couillaud locking mechanism. Linewidth is <1 MHz, and tuning range is >10 nm.
