Portable Power Systems Inc.Request Info
The PPS-200-5A laser diode driver unveiled by Portable Power Systems Inc. delivers up to 200 A of pulsed or 120 A of CW current at a compliance voltage of 5 V, with other voltages available upon request. Rise time is 15 μs, and operating temperature is from 0 to 50 °C. The device is microprocessor-controlled with flash memory to enable on-the-fly programming. Features include internal pulse and frequency generation, safety interlocks, and overtemperature shutdown for the laser and the driver. The driver can be operated remotely via an RS-232 or a USB interface, and the instrument runs on an 85- to 264-VAC supply. It measures 132 × 483 × 374.5 mm and weighs ∼22 lb.
