The ST-UT2 doubled optical tables from Newport Corp. incorporate tuned mass dampers to reduce vibrations as well as honeycomb cells for a lighter, stiffer table with improved dynamic rigidity. Available in sizes ranging from 4 × 6 × 8 to 5 × 14 × 18 ft, the tables offer a constrained layer core, damped working surface and composite edge finish. They have a surface flatness of ±0.004 in. over 2 sq ft and mounting holes of 1/4-20 on a 1-in. grid.
