JEOL.jpgJEOL and Nikon Instruments Inc. have collaborated to introduce the NeoScope, a benchtop scanning electron microscope that can be used for bioscience applications. The device offers magnification of 10× to 20,000× without changing the lens, high- and low-vacuum modes and selectable accelerating voltages of 5, 10 and 15 kV. The stage holds samples up to 50 mm thick, and the instrument, which enables secondary electron and backscattered electron imaging, has both automatic and manual control options.
