Tecan.jpgTecan Ltd. offers custom-made single-part filters for a variety of applications, including ink-jet nozzles, light filters and particle characterization. Using photoelectro forming and photochemical machining processes, the company produces customized metal filters in a single manufacturing process. The technology can produce one to a million apertures at one time, and apertures of any size or shape down to 3 μm. Unlike conventional wire-woven products, the single-part filters do not have crossover areas. This feature eliminates the contamination caused by trapped debris and provides consistent cross-sectional thickness and accurate aperture shapes and sizes. Multilevel planes are available.
