PDLD.jpgPD-LD Inc. has announced a Raman laser source that operates in the visible spectrum at 532 nm. The compact fiber-coupled device provides 50 mW, employing the company’s volume Bragg grating-stabilized 808-nm laser to pump a YAG crystal that has been frequency-doubled to 532 nm. Combined with the LuxxMaster Raman Boxx technology, the green laser delivers a smaller, more stable light source with a spectral bandwidth of less than three wave numbers. Its compact design and narrow linewidth make it suitable for portable instrument applications in areas such as industry, security and the military.
