Bruker Daltonics Inc. has released the micrOTOF-Q II, a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer that offers the SmartFormula 3-D method for the unambiguous sum formulation determination of small molecules up to 1 kilodalton in mass. Designed for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) performance in proteomics, biomarker profiling, metabolomics and other small-molecule applications, the electrospray orthogonal device is compatible with fast liquid chromatography systems. It provides specifications of mass resolution greater than 17,500 (FWHM) at up to 20 spectra per second, providing simultaneous high speed and resolution. Precise mass, MS/MS and SigmaFit isotopic analysis results are provided simultaneously.
