Tools include vectorized descriptions of gray-scale and color images to locate key features regardless of size, rotation, nonlinear lighting, occlusions, clutter and contrast reversal; image processing and region sampling, color segmentation and metrology tools for subpixel edge extraction and dimensional measurement; optical character recognition and symbology tools; and a process manager that strings together multiple tools into an execution sequence customized to a particular application.
