Becker & Hickl GmbH has introduced Simple-Tau 154, a tabletop time-correlated single-photon-counting (TCSPC) system with two or four channels and a time-channel width down to 813 fs. It operates in photon distribution and tag-time modes and offers standard fluorescence decay and fast triggered sequential recording. Compatible with Windows 2000, NT, XP and Vista, the systems have a time-to-amplitude converter range of 50 ns to 2 μs and image resolution ranging from 2048 × 2048 to 32 × 32 pixels, depending on the number of time channels per pixel.
