Coherent Inc. has unveiled the Cube 640, a hands-free diode laser system for applications such as flow cytometry and medical imaging. It delivers 20 mW of output at 640 nm and is laser-welded to provide constant output power, regardless of temperature changes. The system is available with two output options, with the fiber terminated with either an industry-standard FC connector or with collimation optics.
