Dymax Corp.’s BlueWave high-intensity spot-curing system now is CE-marked, making it available globally. It generates light via an array of surface-mount LEDs rather than the traditional metal halide or mercury bulbs. The LEDs produce visible light energy in a narrow wavelength band centered at 410 nm, and the system emits maximum intensity output of more than 2500 mW/cm2 from an 8-mm-diameter lightguide. Users can adjust the intensity output from 0 to 100%.
