ETTLINGEN, Germany, Nov. 24, 2008 – Vision Components GmbH has extended its VC Optimum camera line with the addition of the VC4467 EXview model suitable for tasks requiring high light sensitivity.

The VC4467 features an EXview HAD CCD sensor from Sony that enables the camera to analyze even, long wavelength light near the infrared spectrum to ensure precise image recording. The 2/3-in. sensor features a 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution and it provides a maximum frame rate of 14 fps. It also is equipped with Texas Instruments’ 1 GHZ processor to deliver a computing power of 8000 MIPS and even complex image processing routines. Alert-Eye.jpg

The standard models feature a 4 MB Flash EPROM and 64 MB SDRAM for program and picture storage. It can be extended with a 128 MB SD card. It also offers an RS232 and an Ethernet interface, a high-speed encoder interface and an external trigger input for jitter-free image recording at high reading frequencies. Standard equipment available includes four digital PLC inputs and four outputs. For maintenance and testing purposes, an external monitor can be connected to its SVGA video output.
