The Verdi-V8 and Verdi-V10 CW 532-nm diode-pumped solid-state green lasers from Coherent Inc.'s Laser Group provide up to 10 W on the same small-footprint platform as the 5-W system. The lasers will be used with the company's Mira mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser to provide high average power and wavelength tunability with low noise. The sealed, permanently aligned systems are suitable for high-duty-cycle commercial OEM applications such as hard disk texturing, film subtitling, reprographics and display.
