MellerOptics.jpgMeller Optics Inc.’s sapphire optics are suitable for medical instruments and devices such as oximeters. The optics can be manufactured for specifications such as windows, including flat and stepped, concave or convex, and round or square, with holes, various edges and thicknesses. They transmit from the UV through 4.7 μm and have transmission ranging from 85 percent (uncoated) to >99 percent (coated). They exhibit flatness to 1/10 wave, parallelism to 2 arcsec and surface finish to <0.5 nm.
