Coherent.jpgCoherent Inc. has released two Legend Elite amplifiers, which offer pulse widths of less than 25 fs. The USX-HE model delivers pulse energies of more than 2.5 mJ, and the Duo-USX, pulse energies of more than 5 mJ. The devices feature the E2-Engine regenerative amplifier module and the BandMax technology for stable, short-pulse operation. Suitable for applications such as ultrafast spectroscopy and x-ray generation, they offer improved peak power and temporal attributes. Seeding by the company’s Micra or Mantis oscillators is designed to provide stable, wide-bandwidth spectral characteristics.
