e2v.jpgA high-sensitivity, 24-h video camera has been introduced by e2v technologies plc to build upon its L3 Vision video product line. The L3C216 electron-multiplying CCD camera delivers a smooth day to night transition and rapid overload response, and it is undamaged by persistent bright lights or overloads. It offers high contrast and resolution, and it provides an “eye friendly” image. The device has a spectral sensitivity of 300 to 1060 nm and operates from –35 to 55 °C. Applications include airbourne and ground-based surveillance, blue response, driver view and underwater imaging enhancement, commander’s night sight and scientific imaging.
