Snake Creek Lasers has announced the MicroGreen PD, featuring an integrated photodetector. The miniature diode-pumped solid-state laser measures 5.6 mm in diameter and offers a beam diameter of 0.1 mm. It delivers a constant output power up to 8 mW TEM00, allowing designers to offer illumination solutions that operate over ambient temperature changes of more than 30 °C with an output power stability of ±20 per cent. It is suitable for applications that involve guiding people by aiming, aligning or pointing laser light.
