Intematix Corp. has combined patented and proprietary phosphor technologies with InGaN blue LED chips to create amber-colored LEDs. The product line includes 1-W chip-on-ceramic and chip-on-ceramic-array devices as well as 5- and 3-mm through-hole packaged lamps. The 1-W blue-excited amber LEDs output 56 lm at a 350-mA drive current. The 5-mm LEDs offer luminous output of 10,000 mcd when driven at 20 mA with 20° optics. The 3-mm models, equipped with 30° optics, output 5000 mcd at 20 mA.
