Avantes BV has introduced the AvaSpec-2048-ULS ultralow straylight miniature spectrometer. Its optical bench design has a dual internal mode stripper along with multiple compound parabolic concentrators to reduce stray light levels to <0.04%. The new bench design offers much higher rigidity, which results in a factor of 20 decrease in strain sensitivity caused by microbending. The spectrometer is available in a variety of slit and grating configurations ranging from 200 to 1100 nm. It features a 2048-pixel detector array for high-resolution applications.
