SpectraPhysics.jpgNewport Corp.’s Spectra-Physics Lasers Div. has released the Mai Tai eHP DeepSee tunable ultrafast Ti:sapphire laser for high-resolution biological imaging. The instrument offers peak power >450 kW, a pulse width of <70 fs and a tuning range from 690 to 1040 nm. Delivering an average power of >2.5 W, it is suitable for applications such as multiphoton microscopy, nonlinear spectroscopy, terahertz imaging, semiconductor metrology and materials processing. It features full automation and computer control, and it can counterbalance dispersive pulse broadening in commonly used objectives and optical systems.
