Sydor.jpgSydor Instruments LLC has introduced a vacuum-compatible x-ray CCD camera with flexible binning and region-of-interest readouts for use in plasma physics, deep-UV lithography, x-ray microscopy and x-ray spectroscopy applications. Its Kodak 16-megapixel CCD image sensor has 9 × 9-μm pixels, a 37 × 37-mm imaging area and a 100 percent fill factor. Read noise is 15 e rms at 1 MHz, and readout rate is up to 1 MHz. Output sensitivity is 13 μV/e, and resolution is 14 bits. Vacuum compatibility is 10–5 t. Readout rate, arming/triggering, binning and temperature are controlled via Ethernet.
