Femtolasers.jpgAn ultrafast 5-mJ amplifier, the Femtopower, has been announced by Femtolasers Produktions GmbH for use in attoscience, high harmonic generation, time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopy, femtochemistry, coherent terahertz generation, materials processing and optoelectronic pulse amplifier pumping. Repetition rates are up to 10 kHz, and pulse duration is down to <25 fs. The Ti:sapphire amplifier combines a proprietary sealed vacuum chamber system for the crystal with proprietary mirror technology for dispersion management.
