Thorlabs.jpgThorlabs GmbH has unveiled the LEDD3 series modulating LED source for frequency domain fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and other microscopy applications. The high-brightness source comprises a nonswitching high-current driver and a head with passive cooling for efficient thermal dissipation. The compact driver offers three operation modes: one for FLIM applications with modulation frequencies from 10 to 100 MHz; a second for modulation control via external trigger for frequencies up to 100 kHz; and the third for adjustable constant current for visual inspection of samples.
