785-nm Fiber Laser

BaySpec Inc. has introduced a 785-nm fiber laser for use in biomedical applications. The compact laser produces up to 500-mW maximum power. The side mode suppression ratio is 40 dB, and typical spectral resolution is 0.3 nm full width half maximum.
The laser is available in tabletop or card mount versions for easy integration into OEM instruments. It also is available in a 1064-nm illumination model and can be used with other instruments requiring 1064-nm high-intensity light.
