Omnisens.jpgThe DiTest Sta-R from Omnisens is a strain analyzer used for quality control, testing and troubleshooting in optical fiber and cable manufacturing, and for telecommunications, defense and geotechnical engineering applications. Working with the company’s DRM distance range extension modules and using a Brillouin-based technique, the fiber optic sensing system monitors strain and temperature over 125 km with 1-m resolution and 0.5-m spatial resolution. Operating temperature is from 0 to 40 °C. Autoconfiguration capabilities adjust the measurement settings to the monitoring conditions.
