Newport.jpgNewport Corp. has announced a line of nanopositioning piezo stages with a three-axis controller/driver. The series offers multilayer low-voltage piezoelectric transducers for nanometer resolution with fast response times. The NPX linear stages, which have a frictionless guide design rendering them maintenance-free, are available in X, X-Y and X-Y-Z configurations. The latter two offer an advanced parallel motion principle with up to 400-μm travel. The NPO stages are mounted between the microscope and the objective and have a focusing range of 250 μm. Applications include microscopy, imaging, lithography, interferometry, surface profilometry, laser tuning and beam steering.
