Codixx AG has introduced a new broadband antireflection coating for its colorPol polarizers, extending their transmittance from 91% (uncoated) in the infrared range to between 95% and 98% in the 1200- to 2500-nm wavelength region. The polarizers are thin glass plates with embedded silver nanoparticles and are resistant to UV radiation, solvents, and most acids and bases. They are RoHS-compliant. Regional variation across the usable aperture of the polarizers can be down to microns squared and up to several centimeters squared.
