Optek.jpgOUE8A series UV LEDs have been released by TT electronics Optek Technology for medical and industrial applications including phototherapy treatment; dentistry; fluorescence and UV/VIS spectroscopy; photocatalyst curing of inks, coatings and adhesives; and paper currency and document validation. Offered in wavelengths ranging from 375 to 425 nm, they are housed in hermetic TO-46 metal can packages. All have an 18° typical half-power emission angle and a pulsed forward current of 1.6 A, and all are RoHS-compliant and electrostatic discharge-protected. Operating temperature is from –40 to 85 °C.
