WavelengthElectronics.jpgWavelength Electronics has unveiled the FL593FL, a combination evaluation board and laser diode driver for remote control. The module comprises a robust driver, a Windows control interface and a development application programming interface for building custom applications. Equipped with a USB port, it remotely controls multiple laser diodes via computer and is suitable for burn-in racks and L-I characterization systems. Set point, current limit, constant current and power mode settings are all controlled by a PC. Optional analog inputs can facilitate up to 500-kHz modulation in constant current mode. The device features data acquisition at intervals from 100 ms to 10 s, and it drives two channels up to 250 mA each or a single channel up to 500 mA.
