Andor.jpgAndor Technology plc has extended its iKon family of low-light imaging cameras to include the iKon-L 4-megapixel large-area x-ray camera. It offers a low read noise floor, high quantum efficiency across the x-ray and UV ranges and negligible dark current with thermoelectric cooling to as low as −100 °C. The camera, which can transmit data through a USB 2.0 interface, features readout speeds of up to 5 MHz. It is suitable for maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio in low-photon-flux applications and for applications such as soft x-ray imaging, lithography, x-ray microscopy, beam profilometry and plasma diagnostics.
