Cobalt.jpgThe Cobolt Zouk from Cobolt AB is a compact CW diode-pumped solid-state laser that operates at 355 nm and delivers 10-mW output power and a TEM00 beam. It can be used as an alternative to the Ar/Kr-ion UV lines and quasi-CW UV lasers in applications including fluorescence-based bioanalysis and semiconductor inspection. Built into a hermetically sealed package with a footprint of 80 × 60 mm, the single-mode laser provides noise of less than 0.3% rms, a typical spectral linewidth of less than 30 MHz and beam quality of M2 <1.1. It is supplied with an ultracompact controller that can be accessed remotely for operating and monitoring the laser system via a USB or analog interface.
