The 63xx series near-infrared, high-brightness, multimode diode lasers from JDSU offers 10 W of CW power at 915, 940 or 976 nm from a 100-μm aperture. Featuring high efficiency and a metallorganic chemical vapor deposition quantum well design, the devices utilize low thermal resistance epi-down chip mounting, resulting in a minimum junction temperature at high optical power. Low-thermal-resistance, electrically isolated submounting enables ease of integration into users’ systems. Applications include fiber laser pumping, beacons and illumination, and medicine and ophthalmology.
