The Remora from Ocean Optics Inc. is a compact plug-and-play adapter for connecting via a USB interface to the company’s HR4000, HR2000+ and QE65000 spectrometers. It can be accessed over a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network for real-time data capture and for remote control of spectrometer parameters such as integration time and signal averaging. Users can export spectral data to tab-delimited and graph formats, also remotely. The adapter generates a log file that tracks current and past setups for identifying errors. It is supplied with a static IP address to facilitate configuration.
