Basler Vision Technologies is releasing four scout cameras based on Sony’s ICX618 sensor. Available in monochrome and color and with a Gigabit Ethernet or IEEE 1394b interface, the scA640-120 cameras are packaged in a 29 × 44 × 73.7-mm housing and are equipped with a C- or CS-mount lens adapter. They run at 120 fps at full VGA resolution and can be operated via the company’s pylon driver software package. Applications include factory automation, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, and security and intelligent traffic systems.
