HighlandTechnology.jpgThe Model J740 optical-to-electrical converter has been announced by Highland Technology Inc. Housed in a rugged and compact extruded aluminum enclosure, it performs wideband analog conversion of fast fiber-coupled signals from DC to greater than 1 GHz. Three versions covering the 850-, 1310- and 1550-nm wavelengths are available, all compatible with single- and multimode fiber. Calibrated conversion gain is 1 V/mW. High-speed applications include photonics, modulated analog and digital communications systems, data links, fiber optic test and measurement, fiber-coupled laser evaluation and qualification, and research and development.
