JDSU.jpgThe L4 series fiber-coupled diode lasers from JDSU use a unique chip to generate 10 W of output power from a 105-μm core diameter fiber with 1-m typical length and either a 0.22 or a 0.15 NA. The CW lasers exhibit 3-nm typical spectral width FWHM and 6-nm maximum FWHM. The diode lasers can be used for a wide range of medical and dental applications, including fiber laser pumping and dental soft tissue surgery. Their 41 × 17 × 7.7-mm packaging occupies less space compared with previous designs, enabling OEMs to pack more diode lasers within a smaller space.
