SpectraPhysics.jpgThe Spectra-Physics Lasers Div. of Newport Corp. has announced the Iris optical parametric oscillator, a tunable, ultrafast laser source for use in imaging and spectroscopy applications. Optimized for use with the company’s Mai Tai HP laser, it can be tuned from 340 to 2500 nm and delivers high power in the UV and visible. It is fully automated to provide computer-controlled tuning across the range, without adjustment or change of optics. Multiple output ports provide simultaneous UV, visible and infrared output. The system delivers >1 W of average power from 340 to 520 nm, and >400 mW from 490 to 750 nm. Pulse width is adjustable from 80 to 350 fs.
