KineticSystems.jpgKinetic Systems Inc. has unveiled its vibration-damping Ultimate Performer 5300 series optical tables that offer maximum dynamic deflection coefficients of ≤0.3 (10)–3 and isolated relative deflection-maximum relative motion as low as 0.8 (10)–9 in. Features include broadband damping and quad-tuned dampers in each corner. Flatness is ±0.0005 in., and core shear modulus is 225,000 lb/sq in. Available in sizes of up to 6 × 20 ft and in thicknesses up to 36 in., the tables are Class 100 cleanroom-compatible, with Class 10 available as an option. The standard versions have a ferromagnetic stainless steel top skin, a carbon-steel bottom skin and a proprietary epoxy-bonded honeycomb core that features the company’s SpillPruf design.
