HoribaJobin.jpgHoriba Jobin Yvon SAS has added the XGT-7000 model to its XGT series energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence microscopes. The instrument offers 10-μm spatial resolution, which enables rapid element characterization of discrete microscopic particles and detailed element imaging. It incorporates a choice of two software-controlled x-ray guide tubes with diameters ranging from 10 μm to 1.2 mm. Its full vacuum mode provides high sensitivity for light elements such as sodium, and its localized vacuum mode enables analysis of the full elemental range, from sodium to uranium, while normal atmospheric pressure is maintained in the sample chamber. The SmartMap software provides full data control, including postacquisition image analysis.
