Olympus Life and Material Science Europa GmbH’s updated dotSlide digital virtual microscopy systems scan entire slides at high resolution and fidelity, rendering them accessible and navigable worldwide via a Web browser. Suitable for aspects of pathology and research, the fluorescence-compatible systems enable users to examine a virtual slide as if they were seeing the original on a microscope. The systems are available in three versions: the dotSlide MD manual; the SL fully automated, with a slide loader; and the TMA, with tissue microarray module. All models employ the Olympus BX51 microscope and the Peltier-cooled 1376 × 1032-pixel dotSlide camera.
